Product Description

The Lysine Decarboxylase Broth contains essential nutrients, including gelatin peptone, yeast extract, and L-lysine, which support bacterial growth and enable lysine decarboxylation. The broth also contains bromcresol purple, a visual pH indicator that changes color in response to microbial activity, making it easy to track bacterial metabolic changes. With a final pH of 6.8 ± 0.2 at 25°C, it provides an optimal environment for enteric bacilli to undergo lysine decarboxylation.

This broth is ideal for microbiological research, microbial identification, and metabolic studies involving enteric bacilli and other gram-negative bacteria. Its straightforward preparation process—simply dissolving the medium in distilled water and autoclaving—ensures reliable results and easy handling.
